KERRVILLE, TEXAS, September 15, 2008 — The Hill
Country Charity Ball Association, Inc.,
(HCCBA) celebrating its 23rd year supporting Kerr
County charities, is proud to announce that Habitat
for Humanity Kerr County (HFHKC) has been selected as
the beneficiary of the 2009 Hill Country Charity Ball.
Habitat for Humanity Kerr County, a local affiliate of
Habitat for Humanity International, is an ecumenical Christian
organization dedicated to partnering with God and community volunteers
to provide qualified families the opportunity to own decent, affordable
homes. HFHKC has proudly served our community since 1989 and is nearing
completion of house number 80.
Habitat for Humanity is requesting $60,000 for
engineering costs associated with the development of 12.46 acres at the
corner of Legion and Meadowview which will ultimately yield
approximately 56 lots. Habitat for Humanity generally completes 5 to 6
homes per year, but their current inventory is only 3 lots.
The Hill Country Charity Ball Association, Inc. has
raised $1,081,450.00 in total combined funding over the past 22 years
for Kerr County.
The 2009 Hill Country Charity Ball will be held on
Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Camp Rio Vista in Ingram.
